Our aim is to help Australian small and medium sized businesses in remote Australia become more innovative and forward thinking to grow their business. Detailed eligibility information is contained in the Client Information Guides.
Am I Eligible?
To be eligible for a Business Review, your business must:
- possess an Australian Business Number (ABN)
- have revenue or expenditure of more than $750 000 and revenue or expenditure under $100 million in the current financial year or one of the two preceding financial years
- be solvent
- have operated in Australia and filed Business Activity Statements showing ongoing trading in at least three full consecutive years
- be located in remote or very remote Australia.
What if I am part of a Group of Businesses?
For group applications, the individual Business Review eligibility criteria still apply. Additional criteria for group Business Reviews include:
- A maximum of four firms may apply
- Three quarters of the firms participating in a group application must be based in remote Australia but do not have to be based in the same location.
Business Review services can also be provided to groups of businesses which have a common business interest. Common interests may include but are not limited to:
- Businesses with complementary business capabilities
- Businesses involved in the same supply chain
- Businesses working in collaborative projects.
Revenue or Expenditure Thresholds for businesses in a group:
Businesses with a turnover of at least $500 000 in the current financial year or one of the two preceding financial years may be included as part of the group, on the condition that the minimum turnover for the group as a whole is at least $2 million in the current financial year or one of the two preceding financial years. |
