High Temperature Reactor (Nowra NSW)
Purpose
The reactor can be used to make products (compatible with stainless steel) that require high temperature and vacuum. Examples are industrial esters, soluble surfactants, food esters, high quality esters used in cosmetic applications and high temperature wax emulsions.
Specifications
The new reactor is made of heavy gauge stainless steel type 316 and is insulated.
- Maximum Temperature: 300C
- Vacuum: 35 millibars (95% of a full vacuum) but can be lowered to 5 millibar (99.5% of a full vacuum)
- Pressure: 480kPa is available
- Capacity: 10,000 Litres
Packing available includes 20L, 200L, 1000L and tankers.
Onsite QC lab can carry out testing as required.

Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Area (Nowra NSW)
Purpose
Manufacture of small run retail and pharmacy products, that are either listed or registered with the TGA.
Specifications
Has pilot equipment including 100L, 400L and 3000L production size tanks. There is also a 100L and 250L cream mixing vessels. Available are single head filler for 30ml to 1.5L containers and a dual head filling production line for the higher volume production runs for 100ml to 1000ml bottles. Stability ovens and 25C storage facilities are available. Purified water is provided by reverse Osmosis. The cell allows for pilot batches for full commercialisation of products.

Tablet Filling and Packaging Line (Slacks Creek QLD)
Purpose
This integrated high speed Tablet/Capsule Counter and Filler is used to accurately count tablets or capsules to a predetermined count and places the product into containers transported on a conveyor. This line will air wash the bottles before filling and is equipped with an induction cap sealing system. It will label round bottles accurately and shrink wrap into predetermined packs sizes for easy storage and distribution.
Specifications
Will complete most jobs for the APVMA pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and cosmetics industries within a clean room environment.

Continuous Flow Small-scale Chemical Reactor (Gordon NSW)
Purpose
The plant can been used for (i) waste destruction using hydrogen peroxide, (ii) biomasss conversion by hydrothermal upgrading, (iii) methanol leaching of lignite, (iv) esterification of fatty acids using cation exchange resin as well as (v) biodiesel conversion using alkaline catalysts.
Specifications
High-pressure, high-temperature all-purpose plant consists of a high pressure piston pump capable of in excess of 300 bar and a reactor that can be operated at up to 400 deg C. The reactor can be filled with any form of packing, catalyst, adsorbent, reactive surface material presented in granular or powder form. Reactor temperature is set automatically using a Macintosh computer running a 3 term cascade controller while pressure is set automatically using a needle valve driven by an electric positioner. Reactor effluent is cooled to about 60 degrees using a "feed-product" heat exchanger. Further cooling to ambient is by cooling water. The maximum liquid feed flowrate is 3.78 L/hour. |
