Enterprise Connect is an Australian Government program supporting eligible Australian small and medium businesses to improve their performance. With a national network of centres and a team of around 100 highly skilled Business Advisers and Facilitators, Enterprise Connect helps Australian businesses develop the skills, knowledge and capabilities needed to improve their competitiveness and productivity and to maximise their growth potential.

Services include Business Reviews delivered at no charge to businesses, grant assistance to implement recommendations flowing from the Business Review, and a range of tailored services to meet individual business requirements.

Over 28000 services delivered.

Business Review

The Enterprise Connect Business Review is a successful business diagnostic service. Enterprise Connect has delivered almost 6,800 Business Reviews.

94% of clients implement at least one Business Review recommendation in the year following their service.

On average, clients implement three Business Review recommendations in areas such as:

  • staff management/human resources
  • business strategy
  • quality control and workplace health and safety
  • production
  • marketing
  • market research.

Tailored Advisory Service

After completing a Business Review, clients may apply for Tailored Advisory Service funding of up to $20 000 to help implement recommendations flowing from the Business Review.

Over 3300 Tailored Advisory Service Grants provided, worth over $34 million dollars.

Enterprise Learning

Enterprise Learning Forums provide businesses with access to experienced subject experts, best practice, peer learning and exemplar businesses.

Over1800 participants in Enterprise Learning forums and events.

Enterprise Learning Events deliver tailored industry information and networking events in partnership with aligned industry stakeholders including industry associations, other government departments, agencies and universities.

Researchers in Business

Funding is provided to support the placement of researchers from universities and public research agencies directly into your business to help you develop and implement new commercial ideas.

Leadership 21

Leadership 21 is a nine month leadership course developed specifically for owners and managers of small and medium businesses.

Leadership 21 participants report significant improvements in business and individual leadership performance following the course.

 Over 300 participants have benefited fromn the Leadership 21 course.

Continuous Improvement Program

Enterprise Connect’s Continuous Improvement Program is for businesses with a commitment to change. Through extended engagement, clients and Business Advisers work together to embed change and achieve improvements in productivity and competitiveness.

Over 200 Businesses on their continuous improvement journey

Supplier Continuous Improvement Program

The Supplier Continuous Improvement Program accelerates industry competitiveness by raising the performance of suppliers and supply chains.

The program focuses on embedding best practice leadership and continuous improvement and provides benchmarked performance measures and an improvement plan.

Over 60 businesses are improving their supply chains.
Defence Industry Change Plan

A Defence Industry Change Plan provides defence specific advice, guidance and implementation support to businesses in the defence industry.

Over 365 defence change plans have been delivered.

Technology and Knowledge Connect

Offered as part of the Business Review, the Technology and Knowledge Connect service connects businesses to the most appropriate domestic and international sources of expertise, suppliers of technology and technical knowledge advice.

Over 1300 Technology and Knowledge Connect services delivered.
