The Creative Industries Innovation Centre (CIIC) supports the business of creative enterprise on a national scale, servicing businesses in the creative and cultural sectors. Eligible sectors include architecture, advertising, design, gaming, film and television, music, performing and visual arts, publishing and writing, radio, interactive content and software development.
The Creative Industries Innovation Centre works with a consortium of leading corporate, industry and university partners across Australia, who are committed to supporting a thriving creative economy.
The Creative Industries Innovation Centre is hosted by the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), and has a national network of specialist Business Advisers.
Our services begin with a comprehensive, confidential Business Review, delivered at no charge. Conducted by our skilled Business Advisers, the Business Review is carried out on site and involves a top-to-bottom analysis of your business.
Through the Business Review, Enterprise Connect assists businesses in Creative Industries to:
- review business strategy and operations
- identify strengths and opportunities, including benchmarking against best practice
- assess potential areas for growth and improvement, and
- access world-class business tools, processes and technology.
To be eligible, a business applying for a Business Review must be solvent, have revenue or expenditure of between $1 million and $100 million in the current financial year or one of the two preceding financial years, possess an Australian Company Number and have a trading history of at least three years. For creative industries who fall under the turnover threshold, the Creative Industries Innovation Centre has a Biztro Service. This is a free 1 hour business consultation with an experienced Creative Business Adviser. The sessions are held every month around Australia. Tailored Advisory Service funding is available to help implement recommendations flowing from the Business Review and our Business Advisers can provide connections to researchers, industry associations, training and other sources of funding and advice.
