Background:
Terry has worked in a number of operational and executive management roles. These roles have covered production and operations management, business improvement (QA and HR management) project management and human resource management. Included amongst these positions were the role of NSW Manager of a national logistics firm and General Manager of an award winning printing firm.
Specific responsibilities in these roles have included:
- management of print and packaging operations including P & L accountability,
- management of I.T. and graphic design teams,
- strategic planning and project management of business mergers,
- management of field technicians,
- implementing major client projects; direct marketing campaigns and I.T. projects,
- supplier management and negotiation – including capital expenditure approvals,
- customer relationship management and SLA performance management ,
- development of human capital including training, development, performance and negotiation of industrial agreements and;
- Implementation of business improvement programs (including ISO certification).
Terry has excellent customer relationship and project management skills with business acumen acquired at both corporate and SME level.
His direct industry experience spans printing, digital document service delivery, logistics, fulfilment and mail distribution services. Terry also spent 14 months in British Columbia, Canada managing print operations and project managing customer web, print and distribution campaigns for a major telecommunications provider.
As an Enterprise Connect business adviser since 2007, Terry has engaged with numerous manufacturing firms in delivering business reviews and in connecting businesses with external expertise and support. He has worked with manufacturers in printing, packaging, textiles, furniture, composites, medical equipment, chemicals, marine, metal fabrication and food processing.
Qualifications:
Terry has a Graduate Diploma of Business (HR) from Monash University, an Executive Certificate of Management from the Australian Institute of Management and is a trained internal auditor (ISO) and has also been trained in technical project management, business process re-engineering and Six Sigma techniques. He is also an accredited Probe Microscope (Comparison International – UK) facilitator.
