Background:
Russell King is a qualified mechanical engineer with many years experience at MD and GM levels in manufacturing operations. Russell has worked for many years in the defence industry with Australian Defence Industries in roles of design engineer, production engineer, planning manager and systems manager, gaining significant experience in sophisticated manufacturing and manufacturing management. He then ran several businesses in the national office furniture and fit-out industry, manufacturing, marketing and project managing national fit-out projects for large government and corporate sector clients throughout Australia. During this period, Russell travelled extensively establishing supply chain relationships throughout, Europe, Asia and Japan.
In his last corporate role, Russell was able to double turnover and more than treble profit through market channel expansion, customer satisfaction and determined cost control.
Before joining Ai Group, Russell operated his own business consultancy practice working with SME companies in manufacturing, retail and distribution and focusing on strategic planning, product development and environmental management.

• APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Control
• NCSI certified in Environmental Management
