Rodney Love 

Background:

Rodney Love is a professional business adviser with extensive skills and experience in maintenance manager and logistics.  Originally trained as an Army vehicle mechanic, he has over 25 years Defence experience as either a uniformed member, or a contractor to the Defence industry. Further, his practical experience is supported by Masters level academic studies in the field.

The majority of Rodney’s experience has focussed on maintenance and logistics.  Key positions during this time have included negotiation and management of Australia’s largest national repair and maintenance outsourcing contract for Army equipment fleets.  He has also provided executive management services in large logistics organisations, providing maintenance, warehousing and distribution support to Defence units within the Southern Queensland region.

 
Through his diverse experience, he has developed considerable project logistics competencies.  By applying these skills he has achieved a number of significant outcomes, managing the logistics aspects and project management aspects of large materiel sustainment contracts.  He has also been the principle negotiator for contracts with several Australian business icons in the maintenance and logistics industry.

Rodney’s professional studies are supported by a range of short courses that complement his broad business proficiencies.  These include Contract Management, Project Management, Quality Management, Industrial Relations, Technical Document Writing, and Accounting and Auditing.

Rodney rounds off his capabilities with extensive management experience in dealing with HR and industrial relation matters, strategic and operational planning, tender development, cost modelling and forensic accounting, organisational development, report writing, project development and leadership coaching.
