Ken brings 30 years senior management experience to the Business Adviser role for the Clean Technology Innovation Centre.  He commenced his business career as a lawyer and quickly established a thriving Sydney based legal practice specialising in advising small and large enterprises.  After 15 years in legal practice he moved to the de-regulating electricity market where as a senior manager he established a reputation for achieving outstanding sales in a highly competitive and commoditised market.  As Regional Manager of an internationally owned energy company he successfully managed its entrance as the first interstate retailer into the de-regulating NSW gas market.

The experience gained in entering the dynamic gas and electricity energy markets has been enhanced by around five years experience IT commercialisation and strategic business development for one of Australia’s largest 25 private companies. Ken has most recently been involved as a senior consultant in developing leadership and management skills with particular emphasis on business acumen.

These diverse business management skills and a proven track record of business development success in emerging markets means that Ken is well placed to assist firms in the clean energy sector accelerate their business performance.

Qualifications:
Ken has a Masters of Business Administration as well as Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degrees.  The primary focus of the MBA was on the de-regulating contestable electricity market. He has recently completed a professional doctorate (Doctor of Business Administration) which focuses on how an organisation develops an innovation capability.
