Background:
John’s early career was in project management and maintenance in the mining industry before moving on to management consulting with Coopers & Lybrand WD Scott and Price Waterhouse Urwick focusing on strategy and productivity improvements in the manufacturing, engineering and logistics areas.
He then founded a national facilities management company servicing manufacturers, defence, utilities and large commercial building owners and over 11 years grew it to 800 staff and $170m turnover.
The business was sold to Tyco Fire & Security and John then moved to a business development role with Tyco International undertaking business reviews in a wide variety of manufacturing and service industries including fire protection, security, electrical, air conditioning, hydraulics and facilities management with a focus on either business improvement or acquisition/divestment. Assignment coverage included Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, India, Indonesia, USA, and Brasil.

Over recent years John has been mentoring AGSM mature age MBA students and some small start up enterprises and considers that SME’s working in the Clean Energy area have the potential to create significant value for the Australian economy and looks forward to contributing to your organisational development.
