Background:
David is a UK qualified Manufacturing Engineering and Management professional, most recently employed by a UK Industry Forum where he provided training and consultancy mainly through the UK Department of Trade and Industry's Manufacturing Advisory Service.
Before this, David has held a number of positions including process engineering, projects engineering and senior engineering management roles during eight years at a Toyota Group Company (Denso). It was here that he was exposed to, and learned the practical applications of Lean Manufacturing and world class manufacturing techniques and technology. During this time he spent time in both Japan and the United States training in world class manufacturing systems. He has also worked for a number of other large companies including Sandvik Coromant UK Ltd. and Caterpillar.
David holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from Loughborough University in the UK.
