Background:
David has worked extensively with small and medium businesses during his career in both the United Kingdom and Australia.
Combining scientific skills with a keen eye for strategy and business David has had a successful career focused initially on the food industry and then expanding to the broader manufacturing industries.
David was a key player in managing the integration of the UK food assurance industry’s diverse bodies and went on to play a prominent role in pioneering the roll out of business improvement methodologies in the UK red meat, cereals and dairy industries. His focus during this period was best practice benchmarking focused on lean manufacturing and service excellence.
Since joining the program as a Business Adviser in October 2007 David has achieved high levels of success with over 50% of his clients moving from initial review services to take the next step of investing in outside specialist assistance via the Tailored Advisory Services component of the program.
David is an experienced facilitator who thrives in environments where discussion, testing existing thinking and exploring options and alternatives are key components of successful engagement with business review clients.
David’s most successful clients to date have achieved excellent results by using the business review process as a catalyst for change and count among their successes increased revenue, increased profitability, increased access to finance and increased staff engagement.
In 2010 David received a plaque from his business review client WorkVentures ‘in appreciation of support provided to improve Workventures’ capacity and organisational performance’.
