Background:
Cathy Morato has been actively involved in business and business management for over twenty-five years. She has considerable experience having worked with a range of businesses and industries including education, retail, transport and mining.
Cathy’s knowledge and expertise in business have been developed working as a financial controller and in areas of business diagnostics and development, strategic planning and systems development and implementation.
In the past, Cathy has run her own consultancy business, and was called upon to undertake various tasks for small to medium businesses, ranging in size and complexity. This included performing business diagnostics to identify areas of weakness within the business and implement plans for improvement, assist business owners in determining the value of their businesses and how to improve that value as well as strategic and operational planning.
Cathy has experience in writing finance proposals and research and development plans and has assisted business owners in setting up new businesses and rebuilding systems in existing ones. Other past work experience has included Cathy’s role as a Business Analyst and Financial Controller.
Cathy is looking forward to using her skills to assist Queensland SMEs in her role as Business Adviser with the Enterprise Connect Manufacturing Centres.
Qualifications:
Cathy has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Southern Queensland.
