Background:

Angela considers herself a business generalist who has worked in a range of businesses and organisations at a senior management level for over 17 years. Before her role as Deputy State Director of Enterprise Connect WA, she was the general Manager of Issey Sun Shade Systems, which designs, manufactures, sells and installs premium, retractable awnings and blinds. The company has its head office and factory in Perth and sales branches in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.

Before her time at Issey, Angela was the Chief Executive Officer of SIDS and Kids WA, the organisation behind Red Nose Day, which provides health education services and counselling to bereaved parents and markets and sells products throughout the state. Prior to this, Angela was in a senior management role at Scitech Discovery Centre in Perth.

All of the roles above have required leadership and management in:

  • Financial Management
  • Human Resource Systems
  • Sales and Marketing
  • System Improvements

  • Risk Management, including occupational health and safety

Angela enjoys looking at businesses using a holistic approach, in the context of the longer term goals of the business owners.
