About Us

Who are we and what do we do?

We are part of the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research and our job is to connect your business to the knowledge, tools and expertise necessary to improve productivity, increase competitiveness and fully capitalise on the growth potential of your business.

We work closely with a number of Partner Organisations to get the job done.

Our services are delivered through a network of state-based  Manufacturing Centres in Sydney (NSW), Brisbane (QLD), Melbourne (VIC), Adelaide (SA), Perth (WA) and Burnie (TAS) and five specialist Innovation Centres strategically positioned around the country.  They include:

These centres are staffed by teams of highly skilled and experienced Business Advisers who will come to your business regardless of where you are located in Australia and work with you to deliver a customised Business Review.

The Business Review will cost your business nothing, apart from your time.

From there, eligible businesses may be able to access a range of additional services provided by Enterprise Connect.

The Innovative Regions Centre - based in Geelong operates in a different way to the other Centres.

Rather than working with individual business, Facilitators attached to the Innovative Regions Centre work closely with local governments, businesses, researchers, and communities in ten specific regions across Australia.

Their aim is to help expand markets, boost local economies and create new jobs in regional Australia.

Discretionary Grants

From time to time, we may also award discretionary grants to fund specific projects which are considered worthy of support. Guidelines for the awarding of these grants are available here.
