The Creative Industries Innovation Centre has funding of $17 million over four years and will help creative industries SMEs make a larger contribution to the Australian and global economy. The Centre will have a strong commercial focus and deliver professional business advisory and related business development services to target SMEs across Australia.
The Centre will:
- Provide a comprehensive review of the firm that identifies its strengths and weaknesses, strategic business issues, potential areas for business improvement and growth;
- Provide grants for addressing areas identified by the review for improvement/growth;
- Link creative industries SMEs with each other and sources of expertise and advice wherever those sources may be including larger firms and universities;
- Assist in building up market research knowledge to foster the growth of the creative industries sector; and
- Help businesses to identify and access the latest creative technologies.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (the Department of Innovation) invites proposals from organisations to host, and to assist in delivering, some elements of the Creative Industries Innovation Centre (CIIC). The CIIC will form part of Enterprise Connect.
